Although custom and web software development could do more to improve sales and save money for businesses than almost any other investment, Banks won’t lend on anything that cannot be sold in a fire sale.
Pre-Crunch it was hard enough to get loans for software and on custom built software, it was virtually impossible. Today it is even harder.
The problem - Customised software is an asset to your business, but it is not a realisable asset for a Bank.
Derek Mansfield, President of Bold Endeavours Group, owners of the Big Easy brand said “To be honest, I got bored with being in a recession, and tired watching Banks continuing to help themselves and not their customers. There is no interest or credit charge payable.”
Asked if sales were improving as a result, Mansfield said “Unquestionably the credit offer has been very well received. Mansfield also said “We don’t offer credit to everyone – but then we’ve always been choosy about who we work with. When we started offering credit our cashflow was squeezed for a short time but we’ve passed that now. Currently we’re developing multi lingual libraries for companies in Australia, India, Germany, Portugal, Ukraine, Russia, China, the USA and UK. Interestingly, businesses in Eastern Europe seem even more determined to win market share than their British or American counterparts.”
